Get an e-mail address and use it

On any of our sessions at the cybercentre you can get a free e-mail address. It's a wonderful way of keeping in touch - and much easier than letters and phonecalls. You DON'T need your own computer to use e-mail. You can use computers at work, in the library (free), or at cybercafes. And of course you can drop in to the Silwood cybercentre to check out your e-mails too.

It does take about an hour to set up an address so the best thing is to come on a short learning session or two and practice using e-mail. If you have any friends with e-mail addresses – bring the details along and you can start sending messages right away.

It's a really good way of keeping in touch with friends and family who live a long way away – or abroad. If you use our computers there's no cost at all, and even at home e-mail is much cheaper than phone calls, once you know how to use it properly.

Young People – if you bring two adults to the cybercentre and help them get registered for e-mail or get on a course, then you can have four free hours on the internet or using the computers for other things.

Be part of the internet revolution - get your free e-mail address today.
