Starter sessionsWe recommend that everyone who wants to use the Silwood Cybercentre comes on a short starter (induction) session. Even if you are a brilliant computer whizz, or expert on the internet - we just need to tell you about the way the cybercentre works and what we can offer you as a user or member. We run starter sessions each week and make sure there's a time to suit everyone. During the starter session we'll give you a password to use at the centre and explain to you how you can store your work on a CD. We offer you the chance of coming on a free course to suit you and give you advice on how you might use the facilities at the centre. There is also a membership option if you think you might use the centre a lot. You have to attend a couple of learning sessions to become a member. No one can use the centre on a drop in basis unless they've attended a starter session. Members have priority over drop-in users. Contact us to find out when the next starter session is or go to our timetable. |
