This website represents Silwood. It has been put together by people at Silwood Cybercentre but it is designed to represent and serve the community. A number of organisations are involved in the area. This section tells you about some of them.

Silwood SRB team
(SRB is Single Regeneration Budget a government fund for regeneration)
This is closely linked to Lewisham Council and it has a board that it reports to. The role of the SRB team is to oversee the redevelopment of the Silwood area. Its work covers a wider area than just the Silwood Estate. The SRB team also funds a number of community projects in the area. Details of some Silwood projects can be found here.
The Silwood SRB Team is actively supporting all the 'electronic community' work in the neighbourhood. They are helping fund the Silwood cybercentre as well as many other innovative projects.

Lewisham Council
Most of the homes in the Silwood area are within the boundary of the London Borough of Lewisham. The mayor of Lewisham is Cllr Steve Bullock. You can visit Lewisham's website here.

Southwark Council
Some homes in the Silwood area are within the L B of Southwark's boundary. Cllr Stephanie Elsy is the council leader. Southwark is also involved in regeneration activities in the area nearby. You can link to them here.

London & Quadrant Housing Trust
London & Quadrant (L&Q) will be key in the regeneration process at Silwood. The newly-built homes will be part of the story, but L&Q also work in the wider community to help renew the neighbourhood. You can visit their website for residents here. Tower Homes, L&Q's sister company, specialises in low-cost home ownership and starter homes.
L&Q holds a surgery at Silwood about once a fortnight on a Wednesday afternoon from 2-4. You can contact Robert Cooper on 020 8557 2842.

Presentation Housing Association
Presentation is a black minority ethnic (BME) led housing association. It works closely with L&Q and other partners in the regeneration of the local area. You can contact Presentation here. Presentation HA also run regular surgeries at Silwood usually alternate Wednesdays from 2-4 at the SRB offices in Reculver Road. Lewisham College
Lewisham College is one of the leading Further Education Colleges in South London. It caters for 16 to 19s and adults too. These days the college helps with community learning by supplying tutors and expert help in places like the Silwood Cybercentre. Find out more about Lewisham College here.

Higgins Construction
Higgins Construction build homes and the company will be contracted to
work on the rebuilding of large sections of the Silwood Estate. The company
has also built Milton Court in Lewisham, and the Peabody Estate in Blackfriars.

The master-planning of the redevelopment of the Silwood Estate has been created by BPTW. Their plans have been devised in consultation with local people and partners.

The local police
A large part of Silwood is policed from the Deptford Station. PC Chris Battison is the local beat officer. He can be contacted at Deptford Police Station on 0208 284 8553/4. A police advice surgery is held every Wednesday from 11am to 1pm at the Silwood SRB Office in Reculver Road.
